On March 22, 2023, the National Institute for Food Control held the Workshop "Quality Improvement of Vietnam Journal of Food Control"
The workshop had the participation of scientists, experts, delegates from universities, research institutes, scientific journals, and a large number of researchers from the National Institute for Food Control (NIFC).

Making speech at the opening of the Workshop, Assoc. Prof. Le Thi Hong Hao, Director of the National Institute of Food Control, summarized the magazine's development over the past time, thanked the experts and delegates who attended the workshop and looked forward to receiving valuable comments from the delegates so that the Vietnam Journal of Food Control (VJFC) can improve its quality and develop strongly in the coming period.

On behalf of the Editorial Board, Dr. Tran Cao Son, Deputy Director of the NIFC, Editor-in-Chief of the VJFC presented a summary of the activities of the Journal in the period of 2018 -2022, presenting the shortcomings and challenges as well as the development orientation of the Journal in the coming period. In the period 2018-2022, the Journal has put into use the online submission system and has been included in the list of scored journals of the State Council for Professorship of Pharmacy, Chemistry - Food Technology, and Biology. All articles in the VJFC are published in open access at the website of the Journal (https://vjfc.nifc.gov.vn/) and the website of the Vietnam Journal Online (https://vjol.info.vn/index.php/vjfc).

At the Workshop, Prof. Dr. Tran Dai Lam, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Journal of Science and Technology (VJST) gave a presentation on International Integration Experience of the VJST. According to which, the number of scientific journals in Vietnam meeting international standards is still very limited, journals want to integrate need a roadmap and preparation time. It is very necessary to develop domestic scientific journals towards international standards, demonstrating the capacity and level of integration of Vietnam's science and technology.

Speaking at the Workshop, experts and delegates shared their experiences and solutions so that the VJFC can better orient its development in the coming period. The delegates shared their experiences of peer-reviewing according to international standards such as registering for international standards such as ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), Scopus,...; solutions in the management of scientific journals, experience in attracting good quality articles; promote communication and promotion to improve the quantity and quality of articles submitted to the Journal; building quality human resources for the Journal; develop regulations and policies according to international standards,…
It can be said that the Workshop has high practical significance, contributing to sharing experiences, helping the Journal Editorial Board to have orientations to improve the quality of the VJFC in the coming time.
In 2023, with the support of the NIFC, the Journal continues to be free for articles submitted for publication.
