The National Institute for Food Control Collaborates with the Delegation from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea (MFDS)

From April 9 to April 10, 2025, the National Institute for Food Control (NIFC) engaged in a working session with a delegation from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of the Republic of Korea (MFDS) to exchange information and explore opportunities for cooperation in the areas of Total Diet Study (TDS), food safety risk assessment, and the establishment of a future joint research network between the two sides.
Aiming to strengthen collaboration in TDS research and establish a joint research network in the field of food safety between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, the delegation—including representatives from MFDS and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam—conducted a working visit to the Vietnam Food Administration (VFA) and the National Institute for Food Control (NIFC).
On April 9, at the Vietnam Food Administration, a trilateral working session was held among VFA, NIFC, and the Korean delegation. The parties exchanged information on food safety quality management and monitoring methods, food testing practices in Vietnam, and the potential for cooperation in TDS research and food safety risk assessment between the two countries.
