“Vietnam Journal of Food Control” Upgraded in the List of Scientific Journals in 2024 by the State Council for Professorship

The Vietnam Journal of Food Control (VJFC) has recently been newly approved for the list of scientific journals of the State Council of Professors of Medicine and scored 0-0,5 on the Pharmacy, Chemistry - Food Technology and Biology Council lists.

On July 9, 2024, the State Council of Professors announced Decision No. 25/QD-HDGSNN dated July 5, 2024, approving the list of scientific journals to be scored in 2024. The VJFC has been newly approved to the list of scientific journals of the Council of Professors of Medicine from 2024. At the same time, the VJFC has now also achieved a score of 0-0.5 from the Council of Professors of Pharmacy, Chemistry - Food Technology and Biology.

The VJFC, a scientific journal under the National Institute for Food Control (NIFC), published under license No. 664/GP-BTTT dated December 25, 2017, of the Ministry of Information and Communications. The VJFC's ISSN codes are 2615-9252 (print version) and E-ISSN 2734-9152 (electronic version). The journal publishes 04 issues per year, including 02 issues in English.

The scope of the VJFC includes overviews, scientific research, and short communications in the following fields:

  • Food Quality and Safety Testing Methods;
  • Quality Control of Testing Results;
  • Food Toxicology;
  • Risk Assessment of Chemicals and Biological Hazards in Food;
  • Risk Management and Risk Communication;
  • Food Technologies;
  • Food Quality Control and Assurance;
  • Other Food and Food Safety Related Issues.

The Editorial board includes professors and scientists with extensive experience in the fields of chemistry, biology, pharmacology, preventive medicine, food technology, toxicology, food safety management, etc., There are 04 foreign professors: Professor Kyoung-Woong Kim - Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Korea; Professor Pavel Shur - Federal Budget Scientific Institution “Federal Scientific Center for Medical and Preventive Health Risk Management Technologies; Professor Chai Lay Ching - Sunway University, Malaysia and Dr. Clare Narrod - Joint Institute for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, USA. Every manuscript submitted to the Journal is reviewed by at least 02 scientists with fields of expertise appropriate to the manuscript's content and is edited in detail before being accepted for publication. Being approved by the State Council of Professors in the list of scientific journals to be scored in 2024 of the 04 above-mentioned councils is a signature for the development of the Journal, and is also an opportunity so that the Journal can increasingly develop its quality.
