From 30/5 - 3 /6/2016 in the city of Surabaya, Indonesia took place Meetings Commission processed food (PFPWG) 22nd and related meetings, including committee meetings lab ASEAN food Laboratory (AFTLC) 8th place on 30-31/5/2016.
Attending meetings of AFTLC 8th with 63 delegates from the 10 ASEAN countries and the ASEAN Secretariat. Vietnam has sent the representatives to meeting including the National Institute for Testing Food Hygiene and Safety National - Ministry of Health, Center for Technology and Quality Standards 3 (Quatest 3) - Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality.
At this meeting, the food laboratory reference ASEAN (AFRL) to report their annual activities, currently has 9 AFRL including fungal toxins - Singapore, residues of plant protection chemicals - Singapore, Microbiology - Vietnam, GMO - Malaysia, chemical residues in aquaculture - Thailand, Metal - Thailand, materials in contact with food - Thai, food Additives - Indonesia, O environment - Singapore. The meeting also discussed the proposed new field: Radioactive material - proposed by Malaysia, Scombrotoxin and marine toxin - proposed by Thailand, the substances are not allowed in food - proposed by Vietnam.
- The content of the meeting will be reported by FTLC in meeting PFPWG on 1-3 days / 6/2016.
- The 9th meeting AFTLC expect organize in Bruinei Darussalam conjunction with the 23rd meeting PFPWG.
