On August 2, 2022, the delegation of Galien Paris-Sud Institute under Paris-Saclay University, France visited and worked with the National Institute for Food Control.
The delegation of the Galien Paris-Sud Institute – France were led by Prof. Myriam Taverna – Director general and her colleagues. On the side of the National Institute for Food Control, Assoc.Prof. Le Thi Hong Hao – Director general, Dr. Tran Cao Son – Deputy director together with the representatives of departments and laboratories worked with the delegation.
Bilateral discussion on training and scientific research activities
At the meeting, the two institutes discussed and shared experiences of cooperation in the field of training and scientific research. An overview on training programs and models of the Paris-Saclay University in general, the Galien Paris-Sud Institute in particular was openly presented by the expert delegation. The Galien Paris-Sud Institute of the Paris-Saclay University wishes to strengthen opportunities for cooperation and training all over the world, especially with the countries in Southeast Asia including Vietnam.

After the meeting, the two institutes have found out some areas to cooperate in scientific research and training in the near future, including pharmaceutical chemistry, toxicology and biochemistry. During the working time, the delegation visited the laboratories of the National Institute for Food Control, where Prof. Myriam Taverna highly appreciated the synchronization and modernity of the equipment system. The representatives of the two sides are going to have further discussions to specify cooperative activities in training and scientific research on food safety.
